Fostering Great Cooperation in the Workplace

Baking Home Made Bread

There are few things more comforting than the smell of homemade bread baking in the oven. It takes some work to make bread, but it is worth it. The dough which has  been prepared and which includes yeast, to cause the bread to rise, must be kneaded.

This process includes compressing the dough and folding it over and over again. You can really take out some frustration while engaging in this physical activity. After the kneading has been completed, the dough is covered with a cloth and allowed to rest for awhile. This allows the dough to rise to make the bread taller. Sometimes this whole process is repeated.

If the kneading of the bread is carried on too long, the texture of the bread can be affected. Likewise, it must be done for a sufficient period of time so that the bread will rise. The resting period is an absolute requirement if the bread is to be taller and edible.

In life, we too must work on aspects of our lives. We must understand that the hands-on working part of the process is needed, but so is that period when we walk away and leave the situation alone so that it can rise to meet our expectations.

This is also applicable to vacating the daily activities of our lives, going away to rest and re-create. When we come back from vacation rested and refreshed, we may find ourselves able to rise up to whatever we may be faced with at home or in the workplace.
